The saying, “All good wine begins in the vineyard” was how our wine story began. Prior to starting Atlas Wine Co in 2015, Mike Cybulski and Barry Belli founded Atlas Vineyard Management—a new-generation farming company with more than 100 years of combined expertise developing and farming world-class vineyards and providing high-quality grapes. The family-owned farming company farms, manages and owns over 3,000+ acres of vineyards from Colombia Gorge, WA to Willamette Valley, OR to the Central Coast, with a majority of the vineyards in Napa and Sonoma counties.
The Cybulski and Belli families begin making small batch wines early on to share with their friends, employees and as-a-way to showcase our team members in the vineyards. Shortly thereafter our winemaker & partner Alexandre Remy joined the team and together they blended their love of vineyards and wine.
As experts from vineyard to bottle, it is our mission to bring excellent value wines from the highest quality grapevines that consistently exceeds expectations. This winning combination of our unlimited access to amazing fruit from hidden AVA gems and a talented and passionate new generation winemaking team has resulted in consistent year-after-year award winning wines.
Alex has worked in wine regions all over the world like Languedoc-Roussillon, Rhone, New Zealand, Australia, and Tasmania. He also was a wine technical consultant where he oversaw Maturity Assessments, Sensory Analysis, Yeast Selection, Fermentation, Aging Management, and R&D programs for the likes of Kendall-Jackson, Diageo, Opus One, Mumm, Chandon, Gallo, Constellation, and Concha Y Toro.
In 2015, Alex came on board and together the team created Atlas Wine Co. As General Manager & Winemaker he restructured the strategy based on the experience that lives in his DNA – he wanted to provide the American consumer the same benefits that the French take for granted, great wines at great value. In the USA it is rare to find high-quality wines at affordable prices, which prices good wine out of the market for most everyday people.
Today, it is with that goal in mind, that we believe we have created the best value wine brands in the market. We have accomplished this by sourcing and working directly with phenomenal hidden gem vineyards from lesser-known wine regions in California and Oregon. Working hand in hand with the growers cultivating both extraordinary fruit and long-term relationships.
Kelli Cybulski is the third-generation farmer-winemaker in the Napa Valley. Kelli grew up in the vineyards, growing grapes and making wine alongside her grandfather and father on their Napa Valley family vineyard. With wine and grape growing being a passion, she received her degree in Enology and Viticulture, with a minor in Agricultural Business, from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. She continued her education studying in Switzerland, France and Italy at Changins Haute University specializing in farming and fermentations in the Old World.
Prior to coming to joining Atlas, Kelli was the Production Assistant for Opus One Winery in Napa Valley, where she focused on producing top quality wine under organic and biodynamic practices. Earlier in her career, she also worked for Walsh Vineyard Management and Beaulieu Vineyards. She also has worked at wineries & vineyards in Bordeaux, Chile, Argentina, Australia, and Spain.
Outside of wine, Kelli worked on a self-reliant, biodynamic, natural farm in New Zealand growing all types of vegetables, grains and fruit for 6 months.
When Kelli is not in the vineyards or cellar, you can find her either exploring a different country, backpacking off the beaten track & fermenting fruits and vegetable
